Corneal Refractive Therapy – CRT

Before we can talk about CRT lenses, we need to first understand what these lenses are designed to do.

CRT Lenses were created for patients with myopia. What is myopia? Myopia or nearsightedness is when objects that are farther away appear blurry.

CRT Lenses are a specially designed contact lens that is worn overnight. The lens gently corrects the curvature of the cornea allowing for light to focus correctly on the retina. CRT Lenses are a non-surgical solution for patients with myopia (nearsightedness). In the morning after the lenses are removed, objects in the distance will become more focused and patients will be able to see clearly without having to use glasses or contacts.

If you would like more information on CRT Lenses and if they might be the right fit for your lifestyle, schedule a CRT evaluation with us!
